We apply international and openly available space standards for most of our works. We are convinced that adhering to these standards greatly improves the quality and reliability of LibreCube mission elements. Not at least, they enable compatibility among element interfaces.
The organizations that provide most of the standards for our needs are the Consultative Committee for Space Data Systems (CCSDS) and the European Cooperation for Space Standardization (ECSS). You can download free of charge all their published standards from their website. An overview on many of those standards is available in the CubeSat Standards Handbook.
In the rare cases where there is no available standard to cover a LibreCube element interface, we form a working group within the LibreCube community to prepare a dedicated standard that then becomes applicable to LibreCube elements.
